CLOVERBAR RAVINE
Gel Flocculant and treated geo-jute clarified ~8,200 m³/day of turbid, metals-bearing flow to <8 NTU before release toward Edmonton’s North Saskatchewan River supply corridor—with third-party Golder lab reductions.

The Challenge:
Highly turbid water containing sediment, metals, and hydrocarbons discharged at about 8,200 m³/day into a fish-bearing stream feeding the North Saskatchewan River (Edmonton drinking-water corridor).
The Solution:
Gel Flocculant blocks were placed in-stream ~150 m upstream of treated geo-jute; ~100 m of treated geo-jute matting lined the stream to collect sediment after mixing and reaction time.
End result was very clean water <8 NTU released toward the North Saskatchewan River. Selected Golder third-party reductions (29 Jun 2007) include TSS ~79%, ammonia nitrogen ~96%, total phosphorus ~83%, copper ~80%, zinc ~88%, and hydrocarbons F3 ~92%.
